Pupils from Stenhousemuir Primary are gearing up for the bright lights of the King’s Theatre in Glasgow.
Primary sevens from the school will perform an original, Olympic-themed play at the historic venue on Saturday, September 1.
Around 40 children from two primary seven classes will take to the stage for ‘The Ripple Effect’, a brand new play about kids taking over the running of Scotland after a war. The schoolchildren are one of four groups taking part in the production and are the youngest involved.
Teacher Jennifer Lefko said the children were asked to take part after impressing theatre staff when they performed in ‘Go Dance’ last year.
She added: “The pupils have worked incredibly hard and with very little rehearsal time.
“They are all so excited to be taking part in an original play and looking forward to appearing at the King’s.”
‘The Ripple Effect’ starts at 7 p.m., tickets are available, priced £6-15, from www.atgtickets.com or by calling 0844 871 7648.
