Two of the classical music world’s finest young performers will be appearing at Falkirk Town Hall later this month.

Classic Music Live! Falkirk’s new programme for 2013 starts off with a concert featuring mezzo soprano Anna Huntley and pianist James Baillieu on Friday, January 18, at 7.30 p.m.

Songs and arias by Handel, Brahms, Debussy, Gershwin, Quilter, Ireland and Rogers and Hart will be covered in this rare appearance from two of the Young Classical Artist Trust’s biggest stars.

Those who have enjoyed the new Dustin Hoffman film ‘Quartet’, will be interested to know young James was one of the musicians called in to coach acting heavyweights Dame Maggie Smith and Tom Courtenay - and Billy Connolly - for their
roles as classically trained opera singers.

Classic Music Live! Falkirk will also be holding its first lunch time organ recital at Falkirk Old Parish Church on Friday, January 11, at noon.
