Party people’s heartbeats will thump a little faster when a superstar DJ makes a commitment to play the music they love at City on Valentine’s night.
Sector Events will be bringing the one and only King of Colchester Darren Styles to the Princes Street nightclub tomorrow (Friday) for a night of non-stop dance floor action. He will be ably supported by other big names like George Bowie and a host of talented local disc manipulators.
A Sector Events spokesman said: “We got fed up with everyone going to Glasgow for their night out so we started running a monthly night in City, bringing the biggest names in dance music to the club.
“This Valentine’s night event features UK Harddance legend Darren Styles and Clyde One’s George Bowie.”
The ‘Valentine’s Day Party’ will be in full swing from 11 p.m. with clubbers tripping to a ton of top tunes on the Terrace from the likes of Calvin Logue, Liam McEwen, Lewis M and Gregg MacDonald.
As the night drives on towards the daylight few punters will stray too far from the main room as Obsession, George Bowie and, the man of dance fans’ dreams, Darren Styles hold sonic court until the early hours of Saturday morning.
Mr Styles started his dazzling musical career as a member of the breakbeat hardcore group DJ Force and The Evolution then starred as one half of 1990s happy hardcore pioneers Force and Styles with songs like ‘Heart of Gold’, ‘Pretty Green Eyes’ and ‘Paradise and Dreams’.
Drifting into trance in the early 2000s, Darren began producing records with Mark Brady as Styles and Breeze, the duo releasing two hit singles ‘You’re Shining’ (2004) and ‘Heartbeatz’ (2005) which both cracked the UK singles Top 20.
Now a solo artist, Darren has released two studio albums, the gold-selling ‘Skydivin’ (2008) and ‘Feel the Pressure’ (2010) and is a frequently collaborator with other artists like Hixxy, Ultrabeat and N-Force.
This master will use all his skill and experience to control your dancing destiny at City.
