Top tribute turn The Cavern Beatles will prove you might not be able to buy love but you can get a ticket to a right good night of music.
The band, who cover almost the entire Fab Four songbook, will be rocking and rolling at Falkirk Town Hall on Thursday, September 17 in a concert that is a must for fans of the collective powers of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
The Cavern crew run through The Beatles’ early days of classic pop, including From Me To You, She Loves You, I Want to Hold Your Hand and Can’t Buy Me Love, to the middle Sgt Pepper period of thought-provoking numbers like Paperback Writer, Lady Madonna, Eleanor Rigby and Strawberry Fields, to the last years of the band’s life when they returned to rock with the likes of Get Back and The Ballad of John and Yoko.
Cavern Beatle Rick Alan says: “It is incredible The Beatles’ music is still as powerful and relevant today, over half a century since the band was formed. I can only describe it as an honour to perform their music.”
For those who are not familiar with the story, four lads from “Liddypool” took the world by storm and changed the music industry forever.
The Cavern Beatles, also born and bred in Liverpool, take this music that moved the masses and influenced three generations – encouraging quotable notables like Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher to start up their own “great little bands” – and package it into one unforgettable night of sonic perfection.
Widely regarded as being “as close to the real thing as it’s possible to get” the Cavern Beatles are nothing if not sticklers for detail – playing live for two hours on exact reproductions of the 1960s instruments and all of the same style of equipment used by The Beatles.
Rick said: “The show is a magical history tour through the works of the greatest pop music phenomenon. We are one of only a handful of bands worldwide which performs their show completely live with just four musicians.
“Our show replicates the excitement and energy of Beatlemania, the psychedelic era of Sgt Pepper, and the creative masterpieces of The White Album and Abbey Road.”
As well as being talented instrumentalists and singers – and in some cases, bearing striking resemblance to their Beatle of choice – the band are all hugely dedicated Beatle fans, intent on recreating their individual character on stage.
The show starts at 7.30pm. Screaming is optional, but not discouraged.
