Top trumpet man Colin Steele will bring some brassy jazz to Falkirk later this year.
Colin and his quintet, Michael Buckley (saxophone), Dave Milligan (piano), Calum Gourlay (bass) and Stu Ritchie (drums) will be playing Falkirk Town Hall on Saturday, March 28, allowing jazzers and lovers of refined sound the chance to swing into spring.
The gig, organised by Jazz Scotland, will feature Colin and the lads’ mellow and melodic jazz folk fusion which mixes traditional Scottish tunes with American contemporary compositions.
The town hall concert is hopefully the start of some regular jazz odysseys to Falkirk, as Jazz Scotland look to develop a touring programme which would see great acts like Colin Steele coming to town more often.
