Abba fab at FTH

From a poignant drama to a supergroup with a flare for great tunes ... FTH has got something for every taste in just a few days.

On Wednesday, the town hall stage will welcome award-winning playwright David Harrower’s drama ‘A Slow Air’.

It follows the funny, poignant and engrossing story of Mrona nd Athol, a brother and sister who haven’t spoken to each other for nearly 15 years. But now Morna’s son, Joshua , is turning 21 and he’s planning a party to which they are both invited.

The play has won great reviews since it premiered at the Tron Theatre in 2011.

For this tour, the Scotsman’s theatre critic Joyce McMillan praised the cast and the play itself, saying it “delves so deeply into the texture of Scottish life today that it holds audiences enthralled”.

‘A Slow Air’ is on at FTH on Wednesday, April 2 at 7.30 p.m. Tickets are priced £12.50.

Meanwhile, Irish musicial stars Foster and Allen will bring their Blarney charm to Falkirk Town Hall on April 6.

As part of a Scottish tour, 
Mike Foster and Tony Allen will grace the stage for one night only.

The folk duo have been entertaining for over 40 years, and have sold 19 million albums and videos worldwide.

They have toured the world with their easy-listening tunes, and tour the UK twice every year playing sell-out concerts.

The FTH concert will include some of their most popular musical hits such as ‘A Bunch of Thyme’, ‘Maggie’, ‘Old Flames’, and ‘I Will Love You All My Life’.

Foster and Allan play FTH on Sunday, April 6. at 7.30 p.m. Tickets are priced £20.50.

And just a few days after that there’s one group that needs no introduction – ABBA.

Well, ABBAmania to be precise. The hugely popular tribute act is celebrating over 40 years of golden hits by the Swedish Super group.
