As the Olympic Flame makes its way, finally, to London a relay of a different kind is coming to the Bo’ness Hippodrome.
To mark the sporting event, a collection of short films are making their way around the UK and will be at Scotland’s first purpose-built cinema on August 11. The film, which includes shorts from Shetland, Central Scotland and Northern Ireland, combines all types of film making with professionals, amateurs, animators and school children contributing.
‘The Hansel of Film’ will arrive from Belfast thanks to a cyclist, who has travelled from Ireland by bike and will continue on the journey to Edinburgh by the car from ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’.
Tickets are free and can be booked in advance by calling Shetland Arts, the event organisers, on 01595 745555.
