He’s the Scottish football legend that makes John Lambie look reserved and Sir Alex Ferguson sound calm and collected.
Bob Doolally claims to be friends with the game’s elite and also to have played for his country (twice). But what certainly is true is that this comedy character is certain to deliver an entertaining and often damning assessment of the beautiful game.
The creation of Paul Sneddon, Doolally will perform at Stenhousemuir Bowling Club on Friday, October 11.
He’s visiting Stenhousemuir as part of a tour of football clubs that are backed by supporters trusts.
Bob told The Falkirk Herald: “Supporters trusts show you don’t need to be an oil-rich sheikh, an American billionaire or a crackpot Lithuanian banker to run your own football club. Fans need a voice in football more than ever, they are the most important part of a club. Trusts like the ones we are working with on this tour give them that.”
Also performing will be Phil Differ, writer and co-creator of the long-running BBC football comedy ‘Only An Excuse’.
Organised by Fair Pley events and Supporters Direct Scotland, tickets cost £10 and can be bought from the Stenhousemuir Football Club office or by calling 07736040738.
