Behind the Wall (BTW) won the Heart of the Community award at the BBN Scotland 2016-17 national awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel.
It shared the spoils with fellow joint winner the Tartan Rose in Paisley – but that didn’t take the shine off the national win for the BTW team.
Also celebrating were staff from Sportsters who received one of five special new Platinum awards, presented to venues which had shown continuous excellence.
The Falkirk Delivers team nominated Sportsters for the award and were delighted to report the double whammy for the town.
Assistant manager Sarah Winters said: “It’s fantastic news and we were all delighted that BTW and Sporsters were so successful at the national awards.
“Both of the venues thoroughly deserved the recognition they received.”
Artisan Tap was also in the running for Best Newcomer but was pipped at the post by The Fountain in Coatbridge.
And Sportsters was nominated for the Innovation in Social Responsibility award but the Garage in Glasgow took that honour.
The awards ceremony was introduced by Mandy Haeburn-Little, chair of Best Bar None Scotland and CEO of the Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC).
She said: “It is so impressive to see the standard of these applications, the commitment of the teams involved and the hugely varied venues from different corners of Scotland being represented.
“I congratulate all of our finalists for their excellent practice and our winners who have demonstrated that public safety and customer care are top of their priorities.”
Glasgow nightclub Campus was recognised as the best licenced premises in Scotland by Best Bar None Scotland, taking the award for Best Nightclub and overall National Champion.
Across 11 categories, 47 finalists took part in the annual national awards with venues represented in Falkirk, as well as West Lothian, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Renfrewshire, the Scottish Borders, Airdrie, Coatbridge, Fife, Aberdeen and Inverness.
BBN Scotland is a nation-wide scheme which promotes a safe day and night time economy and socially responsibility while rewarding venues for raising standards and duty of care.
