Behind the Wall (BTW) won the Heart of the Community award at the BBN Scotland 2016-17 national awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel.

It shared the spoils with fellow joint winner the Tartan Rose in Paisley – but that didn’t take the shine off the national win for the BTW team.

And Sportsters was nominated for the Innovation in Social Responsibility award but the Garage in Glasgow took that honour.

The awards ceremony was introduced by Mandy Haeburn-Little, chair of Best Bar None Scotland and CEO of the Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC).

She said: “It is so impressive to see the standard of these applications, the commitment of the teams involved and the hugely varied venues from different corners of Scotland being represented.
