Coronavirus restrictions mean it is “unlikely” Santa and his elves will be able to hold their annual workshop at Callendar House this year.

However, Falkirk Community Trust is determined to make sure there will still be plenty of Christmas cheer to go around.

An FCT spokeswoman said: “Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is unlikely that we will be able to provide the same Christmas experience as we have done in previous years.

“However, we are in discussions to agree on what we could safely offer our customers this year.”

Updates on FCT's festive events will be made via its website and social media channels.

Falkirk Delivers, the town’s business improvement district, is also switching up its 2020 Christmas plans, with members of the public told to expect something different from the traditional reindeer parade and lights switch-on.
