However, the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in organisers sadly being forced to cancel this year’s community event. It had originally been hoped to stage the gala in August, but time constraints meant this would not be possible. Instead the committee have cancelled the event and are turning their attentions to 2021.
But to mark the day when Gairdoch Park should have been buzzing, we take a look back at the last two successful gala days. Can you spot yourself? Pictures by Dave Johnston.
