Climate change goddess takes Falkirk by STORM
Shop26 takes place in Falkirk Town Centre on Friday the 5th and Saturday 6th November.
This is an environmentally conscious market that is bringing in sustainable retailers from all over Falkirk and the surrounding areas, and there will be a very special visitor on the Saturday, helping to spread a vital environmental message.
About STORM
It took two years to create the massive puppet, depicting a creature emerging from the deep to encourage us all to celebrate our seas, care for our coastlines and empower us to put the environment first. The climate crisis icon was created by Symon Macintyre and Kim Bergsagel, and is made entirely from recycled materials.
STORM, who is aided by eight puppeteers, is on a tour of the country, which began at Celtic Connections, and will be part of the two day Shop26 event, appearing on the Saturday.
Registration a must
While this market is free to attend and will take place between 10am and 4pm, you must register for a space to see STORM on the Saturday – tickets available here.

Event information and Covid 19
Falkirk Delivers is limiting attendance numbers through the pre-registration system in order to keep everyone safe. It has outlined its rules around the event below:
If you are not registered, please do not attend - you can watch online instead via the Vision Mechanics Facebook page
We ask spectators to maintain 1m physical distancing between households at all times and avoid overcrowding areas
Route maps, timings and instructions will be sent via email, in the week leading up to the event, to everyone who has pre-registered
We encourage attendees to take a rapid Lateral Flow Test in the 24 hours prior to attending
If you test positive, please do not attend, self-isolate and book a PCR test ASAP
It is recommended to take another test 3 days after the event
Please do not crowd around STORM to take photos - it is 10m high and visible from afar!
The best way for everyone to enjoy STORM is to find a point to watch from and stick to it rather than moving with the parade
We recommend to wear a mask in crowded areas, unless you have a medical reason not to
Registration is not a guarantee of you finding a place to stand and watch STORM, so we suggest giving yourselves plenty of time on the day.
