The project of wildlife cameraman and singer-songwriter Andrew O'Donnell, Beluga Lagoon has built a devoted fanbase thanks to a sound that blends Celtic, folk and rock, all rooted in the Scottish landscape.
Thousands of fans travelled to Falkirk to hear songs like The Glen, which in a short period of time has developed a huge following. The track, now a massive hit across Scotland, draws on images of glens, rivers and the sea, reflecting O'Donnell's background behind the camera as much as behind the mic.
Beluga Lagoon sold out two nights at the Barrowlands earlier this year, and finished the summer touring season with this massive gig in Falkirk.
Last Saturday's date, with special guest Dougie MacLean, closed a Kelpies Live season that brought Madness, Faithless, Red Hot Chilli Pipers and The Kooks to the Helix Park over the summer.
