Award-winning jazz singer will perform in the Falkirk area for the first time next month

Marianne McGregor, who took the Best Vocalist title at the 2021 Scottish Jazz Awards, will be performing at Laurieston Bowling Club on Friday, November 3 at 8.30pm.
nfluenced by legendary artists ranging from Amy Winehouse and Sarah Vaughan to Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holliday, Marianne followed her debut album of original
compositions Good Morning Warning with a second release of her favourite jazz ballads Standards, and has performed at prestigious festivals throughout Scotland
including Celtic Connections, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival and Glasgow Jazz Festival.
Peter Alexander, marketing convenor of Laurieston Bowling Club, said: "I am thrilled to have secured funding to bring artists of the calibre of Marianne McGregor to my home town of Falkirk. With winter approaching, what better way to banish the blues than with a jolt of jazz."
