The COVID-19 pandemic may have pulled the plug on Andre Rieu’s annual concerts from his hometown of Maastricht in the Netherlands this year, but fans will still be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the great man and his colourful Johann Strauss Orchestra in 2020.
Andre Rieu’s Magical Maastricht – Together in Music will be screened in over 500 cinemas – including Falkirk Cineworld – at some point between September 18 and October 15.

It will also feature interviews with Andre in the famous Vrijthof Square, talking about his favourite Maastricht memories – he will also talk about how the coronavirus crisis has affected him.
Andre said: “Since 2005, my Johann Strauss Orchestra and I have been very proud to welcome more than one million visitors from the whole world to my beautiful hometown Maastricht.
“This year COVID-19 is touching all of our lives and at this time our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our beloved fans, musicians, team and audiences, all part of the big ‘Andre Rieu Family’.
