East Stirlingshire have more injury worries ahead of their must-win final day clash against Annan Athletic at Ochilview.
Coach Jim McInally has been struggling along with a makeshift squad for weeks but was hit by a fresh blow this week with the news that promising teenage striker Jamie Glasgow is out with a broken toe.
There is also concern over midfielder Derek Ure after he was injured in last weekend’s defeat at Montrose, although the club’s longest-serving player is making a good recovery and should be fit to play in a match Shire must win to avoid finishing bottom of the league.
“We were already down to the bare bones before these injuries,” said McInally. “But if we were to lose both players then we would be down to 13 fit outfield men for Saturday, which would not be ideal.
