STENHOUSEMUIR finally progressed to the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.

The Warriors beat Threave Rovers 5-1 in their third round replay at Meadow Park last night (Wednesday).

Davie Irons' returned to the Castle Douglas club and steered hsi side through thanks to doubles from Ross Clark and Alex Williams, and a late goal by Jordan Smith.

Goalkeeper Chris McCluskey returned to the starting line-up.

The Warriors now face Stranraer in the fourth round with the winner to host Motherwell on February 5.
