Sunnysiders are cl ub of the month for April and land BT Sport prizes

Falkirk rugby club has landed a year's subscription to BT Sport for the Sunnyside clubhouse '“ having landed the title of SRU Club of the month for April.

The club was handed the accolade last week at the Helix Park alongside the Kelpies.

It marks a successful month for the Sunnysiders, whose first XV secured promotion to Scottish club rugby’s second tier with two victories over Aberdeenshire and Cartha Queen’s Park, both away from home.

The club is committed to continuing their youth structure, and Academy programme next season, as coach Niall Lear told The Falkirk Herald earlier this month, and their great success has been recognised by the SRU.

The award celebrates on-pitch performance, discipline and player development. To win, a club should show a successful balance, with potential for long-term growth. The winning club receives £200 plus a 12 month commercial BT Sport subscription.
