"I became a total gym rat and I’ve watched and studied boxing non- stop since.

"It’s always been the dream to turn pro and make boxing my life and my coach, Sam Mcleod has always pushed me to stick in at the sport and chase the dream.”

‘Livewire’ also spoke about the choice to join the St Andrew’s stable.

“Signing with St Andrews Sporting Club became a done deal in our heads when we first started sparring pros that were all part of Iain’s (Owner Iain Wilson) stable,” he explained.

"They all seemed to be in agreement that he’s the man for the job if you want to go far and you just have to look at the likes of Kash (Ukashir Farooq) for the proof!”

Kaiden will be continuing his professional career under the tutelage of Sparta’s Sam McLeod, who backs the decision to turn pro and join St Andrew’s.

“Kaiden was the first kid to join my gym back in 2015 and it’s crazy to think six years later he would sign professional and become our first pro.

"We did hope to do the Scottish one more time but due to further delays we felt it was the right time to make the transition.

"He’s turning 22 in March and has just started to develop his man strength.

"I think it’s a perfect time and after speaking to Iain I feel he will be managed the right way and looked after through the apprenticeship phase.”

When discussing what St Andrew’s and the Scottish boxing community can expect from McGuire he added: “You can definitely expect something unique.

"He brings a fan friendly style. Very explosive, punches from all angles and has a great defence.

"He reminds me a lot of Kash with the slick head movement and dedication to the sport.

"We definitely draw inspiration from the way Kash carries himself and his fighting style.”
