She has consistently competed at major international, European and World Championships as both a cadet and junior.

Unfortunately, right now the team is not allowed to travel so the event will be held online next month.

Last year’s World Taekwondo Online Championships attracted 1560 competitors from 98 countries and was a tremendous success.

The competition’s organisers have confirmed plans for this year’s competition and promise for it to be even bigger than the last.

Natasha has been a student of Carronshore-based Central Taekwondo Academy since she joined the club at the age of five.

Despite all the difficulties with covid restrictions she has managed to maintain her standards over the past year.

The club have been providing online live training sessions via Zoom and outdoor classes when permitted.

Central Chief Instructor Grand Master David Bailey is very optimistic about getting back to face-to-face classes in the near future.

He said: “We are desperate to get back to our normal classes.

“It has been a very difficult year but Natasha has worked as hard as ever and thoroughly deserves this chance to represent her country once again.

“She is a fantastic role model at Central Academy.

"She is a very modest and hard-working student who also assists with coaching, passing on her expertise to other students at the club.

“We wish Natasha the very best of luck with her preparations and look forward to seeing how far she can progress in the competition.”
