Finn Russell helps inspire Scotland to first Twickenham win since 1983
The victory, which saw them lift the Calcutta Cup on the 150th anniversary of the fixture, was the Scots first win over the English at their home ground since 1983.
However, it wasn’t a perfect afternoon for the 28-year old who also saw a yellow card late in the first half for a trip on England’s Ben Youngs.
Despite that set back the Scots rallied to keep the English out while temporarily reduced to 14 men and eventually saw out the win in a game which they dominated and was decided by Edinburgh winger Duhan van der Merwe’s lone try.
Next up for Gregor Townsend's side they welocme Wales to Murrayfield this Saturday, February 13.
