Last summer he linked with former Fury and Scotland International teammates - Ali Fraser and Jonny Bunyan at the Rocks, leading them to top of the table before the league ended.

Murray said: “Bringing Fraser back for another season was an easy decision, with limited minutes last season he showed some bright spells. I will be looking for him to bring that youthful energy he showed in the Commonwealth Games.

“With a bigger role to play this year, I think we will see a lot more productivity and confidence from him.”

Fraser had this to say on his return for a second season with the Rocks: “Really excited to re-sign with the Glasgow Rocks for my second professional season. The team chemistry and support we received last year had me eager to return. I’m looking forward to playing for Coach G and playing in front of our amazing Rocks supporters!”

Fury Headcoach John Bunyan told Heraldsport: “ The signing of Fraser comes as no surprise, but what many do not appreciate is the quality of a player needed to hold down a spot in the BBL.

“The standard of the pro British League, while not the standard of many of the European Leagues, still requires a British player to be at

the top of their game. They are competing for minutes with players from many European countries and a host of American imports.

“Fraser has the ability to play at that level and showed that in many games last season. He had an outstanding Commonwealth Games series and at 6’6” brings some size as a forward, who has developed some range and consistency from the three point line.

“Fraser has always been a great team player both on and off the court and I am looking forward to seeing him really develop in what we all hope will be a great 20-21 season.”
