This means Scotland have no players in either the GB U20 Mens or Womans teams for this summers Euro Championships.

Fraser who has worked extremely hard to get to the pinnacle of basketball in the UK will return to commit to pre-season training in Falkirk before returning for his second season in the NCAA in the US.

Fury Headcoach John Bunyan told Heraldsport – “While I cannot comment on the players who made the 12 , I know the quality and work ethic of Fraser and can only assume they exceeded that. Coaches run different styles, that can affect a talented player being selected. We have seen that already this summer and in previous years, with a number of our talented players not getting into the final spots – that does not take away from the talent and ability these players have.

“Fraser is an outstanding individual and I know he will continue to develop to be a great player.

“He is another example of how by having a great work ethic and the will to succeed, can take players from programs like ours in Falkirk to compete for spots on the world stage.

“Fraser has done everything right – been at the very top in Scotland, moved to get European and then experience in the US – he is a great example to our players and I know he will be a strong candidate for a Scotland Mens place at the Commonwealth Games in 2018.”

Meanwhile Fury’s Jordan Ferguson has been confirmed in the Final 12 of the Scotland Cadet team that will compete in Euro B this summer. The competition is in Bulgaria in August.
