Westquarter and Redding lost their Division Three fixture at Boroughmuir.

On winning the toss skipper Mumtaz elected to bowl with Stuart Fox who was first to strike, bowling Siller with a big inswinger quickly followed by Adham Aslam dismissing Young at 33 for 2 from eight overs.

Boroughmuir put together a partnership of 67 before Steve Sutton bowled Hutchinson in his first over and Imran Mazhar bowled McDelling for 56, but Boyapati’s innings put the game beyond Westquarter. Punishing some wayward bowling and peppering the boundary at regular intervals he reached 60 before Boroughmuir scored 100 runs from the last 15 overs to finish on 242 for 7. Westquarter finished on 132 all out.

Meanwhile Stenhousemuir saw off Kelburne at the Tryst.

Batting first Rushdie Jappie scored 85, Craig Black 26 and Tim Doonan 20 for the home side’s 174.

The Paisley side were all out for 106 with Amir Shezhad scoring four for 21, Jappie taking two for five and Nick Lister two for 17. East Kilbride visit Stenhousemuir this weekend.
