STEVEN Pressley’s Falkirk will give former team-mate Paul Hartley one of his first competitive matches after the sides were paired together in the Stirlingshire Cup.
Falkirk have been drawn away to Alloa in the competition, where they finished runners-up last year.
Reigning champions Dumbarton have been handed a bye, as have East Stirlingshire.
Stenhousemuir will be given an early re-introduction to Second Division rivals Stirling Albion in the remaining fixture at Ochilview.
The head-to-head for the former Scotland, Hearts and Celtic team-mates will be one of Hartley’s first competitive matches in charge of the Wasps, and the match at Recreation Park must, like all first round ties, be played by August 14.
Winners of the Ochiview encounter must travel to Dumbarton, while the Shire lie in wait of Falkirk or Alloa.
Semi-final matches must be played by August 31.
