Grant back as club continues to run

Sprinter Grant Plenderleith has returned to the track after the coronavirus closedown – and recorded an impressive time.

Despite windy conditions the Falkirk Vics sprinter, formerly a footballer with Bo’ness United and Stenhousemuir FC, covered the 400m distance in 47.47 at the Nuneaton Open earlier this week.

Meanwhile the final calendar dates for Falkirk Vics’ road championships have been decided.

On September 10 the U17-Masters will run an 8km time trial on the Forth and Clyde Canal path between Lock 16 and Bonnybridge. Entries are now being taken and close on Tuesday, September 8.

The under-11s to under-15s will have two final races to allow members to complete the required three races. A 1500m on Saturday, September 5 and an 800m a fortnight later. Entries close on the Thursday prior to each race.
