WATCH: Falkirk players return to training after two month hiatus
Falkirk players and coaching staff are back on the training pitch for the first time since early January.
The Scottish government confirmed last week that club’s in SPFL League 1 and League 2 as well as the SWPL1 could return to training with an aim to complete the 2020/21 league season.
The 20 League 1 and 2 clubs are currently in discussion with the SPFL about when they will begin playing again with next Saturday, March 20, the proposed date coming from the member clubs.
That proposal outlined a 22 game season, reduced from the original 27, where the leagues would split after 18 games.
After teams had played each other once home and away the top and bottom halves of the league would play each other once more to decide champions, relegation and play-off placings.
The SPFL have raised concerns about that proposal though and discussions are ongoing.
