The Tartan Army went wild when first Matt Hummels turned in Shaun Maloney’s free-kick, and then James McArthur fired in another equaliser from the edge of the box to cancel out Thomas Mueller’s double.

In the end it wasn’t to be though as Die Mannschaft’s Ilkay Gundogan scored the second half winner.

But the Tartan Army, which packed out Hampden enjoyed Scotland’s goals as they went in, as our video shows.

German midfielder Toni Kroos was taken aback by the Hampden roar.
