Taiwo: Boss has been brilliant

Tom Taiwo reckons only Mark Warburton's Rangers taking a silverware treble could outshine Peter Houston's manager of the year credentials.

Falkirk will host their Gala Awards on Monday as is customary at this time of the season, but nationally the Bairns boss has figured in discussions crowning the best of the bosses.

And Taiwo believes that’s with good reason.

“I think he’s got to be up there and considered. Mark Warburton has done great at Rangers and if he wins a treble he might be difficult to beat, but solely on a league performance we’ve massively outperformed the outside expectations.

The fans here expect a bit more, but the people outside thought it was a two-horse race and the fact we are in a commanding position over Hibs with it going to the wire too is all testament to the management and how they have set us up and prepared us.”

Preparations are well underway for Falkirk’s trip to Kirkcaldy for the BBC Alba televised match which has a 5.15pm kick off.

Rovers are potential play-off opponents for Falkirk and Taiwo, who was substituted in last week’s 2-2 draw with Hibs with an ankle knock, is available.
