Stenhousemuir and Falkirk were celebrating home wins at the weekend, but the Shire weren’t so lucky on the road.

John Coughlin’s men fell to a 2-1 defeat at Clyde, despite Paul Quinn’s penalty levelling Pat Scullion’s opener and a strike in the second half consigned them to defeat.

The Shire’s landlord Stenhousemuir were more successful with a Darren Smith strike handing the Warriors a win over Albion Rovers.

At The Falkirk Stadium a first half penalty for Stewart Murdoch and a sensational Lyle Taylor goal gave them the win over a disciplined Cowdenbeath side.

Each of the three junior sides - Camelon, Dunipace and Falkirk Juniors - were again inactive.
