In a dramatic sixth round replay against Dundee side Menzieshill Rovers they came back from 1-0 and then 3-1 down with 10 minutes to play.

Chris Fleming and Ross Kelso got the two late goals after Greig Crooks had earlier equalised Rovers’ opener - and Andrew Grimshaw then netted the winner in extra-time to book an away tie this Saturday with Motherwell side Colville Park, regarded as one of the country’s top amateur sides.

It’s the second year running that the club have been Stirling & District AFA’s sole survivors in the last 16.

The club was founded in 2008, as Stenhousemuir AFC, by chairman Scott Jenkins and through three successive promotions worked their way up to the Stirling & District AFA Premier League.

Subsequent trophy success has followed each year but having won everything their local association has to offer they sought a new challenge and have been accepted for the prestigious Caledonian Football League for next season.

Last season the club took the significant step of joining up with professional team Stenhousemuir FC, coming under their “Warriors in the Community” umbrella and changed their name to Stenhousemuir Community AFC.

The club is running a supporters’ bus to the Colville Park tie. For details visit their Facebook page or website www.clubwebsite.co.uk/stenhousemuircommunityafc.
