Stenhousemuir boss Brown Ferguson says his playeers must stay strong

Stenny head for Cowdenbeath on Saturday just one place and one point above the relegation play-off place.

Victory for the home side would guarantee their safety and leave Stenny sweating on their final game - but a Warriors win would move them above the Fifers ahead of their final game against Albion Rovers.

Ferguson said: “We are facing two cup finals but the good thing is it’s in our own hands.

“There will be to-ing and fro-ing but it’s for us on the sidelines to be concerned with what’s happening in other matches.

“They players have to concentrate on their own jobs. They can’t affect matches which are outwith their control.

“It’s a massive game for both clubs on Saturday with so much at stake.

“The message we have been stressing is that every player has to focus on their own jobs and perform the key roles to the best of their ability.

“If they do that then I am confident we have the game plan to get the result we want.

“It’s time for everyone to stand up and be counted but the attitude of my players is something I have never questioned.”

Skipper Stuart Malcolm is back after suspension and striker Jason Scotland and midfielder Carlos Mazana are also likely to retutrn to the squad after injury.

Ferguson admitted: “It’s the first time for a long time that we have been back to something like full strength so that is a massive boost for us.”
