Sean Lynch’s spot kick sealed a dramatic penalty shootout win for Stenhousemuir at Dundee.

The Warriors upset the odds by beating their Championship opponents at Dens Park and will now be looking forward to the draw for the semi-final of the Ramsden Cup on September 19.

Dundee took the lead when Peter MacDonald converted a second-half penalty after Craig Anderson’s foul on Jim McAlister.

But the Warriors hit back through Sean Higgins to take the the tie into extra-time.

Neither side could manage a winning goal so penalties were eventually required to settle the match.

And Stenhousemuir triumphed 5-4 when Lynch netted after Willie Dyer had missed for the hosts.
