STENHOUSEMUIR are sitting tight after dealing out contract offers to players.

Andy Rodgers, Stewart Kean, Ally Brown, Ross McMillan, Iain Thomson, Stuart Kean, Kevin McKinlay and Brown Ferguson are the established first -teamers who are mulling over the Warriors’ offers.

Martyn Corrigan has been offered a coaching role, while captain Willie Lyle and Stevie Murray have been released.

Assistant boss Kevin McGoldrick told HeraldSport it was hard to let the players go but added: “We are waiting to here back from the players we’ve made offers to - they’re our priority at the moment.

“We won’t move for players outwith the club until we know who is accepting deals - but we know the areas we are looking to strengthen.

“We took over last term and just missed relegation - this time we narrowly missed the play-offs. That’s progression.

“But when we see Dumbarton and Airdrie playing for the First Division, after coming so close to the play-offs we need to make sure we go one better next time.”
