Seb Ross, man of the match on Saturday as Stenhousemuir defeated Dumbarton 2-1, didn’t just have a win to celebrate - the youngster has also been named in the Scotland under-19 squad for two friendlies in Poland today (Thursday) and on Sunday.
And it’s recognition which is thoroughly deserved, according to Warriors boss Ferguson.
“I’m really pleased first and foremost for the lad,” he told the Falkirk Herald.
“Whether it gave him a boost before Saturday I’m not sure but he was one of our standout performers.
“He put in a mature and really exciting performance and was involved in most of the good things we did.
“He’s got a real knack of breaking the lines from midfield from a central position.
“Hopefully he can go away with Scotland and perform well and bring that back here.”
