Reid leaves Dundee for Ochilview

Midfielder Jamie Reid has returned to Stenhousemuir.

The 20-year-old has had two previous spells on loan at Ochilview and Montrose and joined Scott Booth’s side this week.

A move from SPFL Premiership new-boys Dundee to League One club Stenhousemuir has been in the offing for more than three weeks as Reid waited on his registration clearance to come through to leave Paul Hartley at Dens Park and join up with Booth on Gladstone Road.

Reid played 13 times for the Warriors and scored twice under Martyn Corrigan.

He tweeted last month: “ Every year without fail I get nervous about pre season.

“I’m in with dundee just now then think I’ll be joining up with [Stenhousemuir] once registration with the loan is through.

“It’s looking like a loan - just waiting for confirmation and I’ll be a Warrior again! ⚽️

“Buzzing for it!”

Reid’s deal is for one year and he is added to the new signings of Ryan Millar, Krissy Faulds, Greg Fotheringham, Alan Lithgow, PJ Sludden and Colin McMenamin.

Ryan Coleman and Mark Scott have also moved up from Forth Valley Football Academy to form part of the the Warriors reserve squad for next season which kicks off with a long trip to Brora Rangers on July 26.
