Stenhousemuir are edging closer to appointing a new manager to replace Martyn Corrigan.

Interviews with individual candidates have been on-going this week and are expected to be concluded by tomorrow (Friday).

Among those in the running for the job are former Morton and Stirling boss Allan Moore and ex Ayr United manager and Falkirk player Brian Reid.

Stenhousemuir director Iain McMenemy said: “We’re in the process of interviewing shortlisted candidates. It would be unfair at this stage to say whether any of them were favourites for the job.”

With no decision expected before Saturday, that means that senior player Brown Ferguson will pick the team for the third consecutive week.

The Warriors are at home to East Fife, and will be looking to bounce back from a dispiriting loss against Albion Rovers in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup the previous week. John Gemmell is still out injured.
