Little is, ironically, 6’4” and will add to the Warriors’ defensive options next term.

Boss Irons said: “We are really pleased to have brought Tommy to the club. The reports we have had compiled on him over the last 18 months are really encouraging. We believe Tommy has the potential to be a top player within this league and a player capable of playing at a higher level within our game.

“At 23 he is joining us at a great time in his career, there is so much more to come from him. He will give us a different dimension and is the type of player we have been looking to add. Myself and Kevin look forward to supporting his development and helping him achieve his potential.

“Creag is a powerful centre back and being left sided he gives us that element of balance which we see as important as we continue to put next seasons squad together. He did well last year in the games he played and we believe he can build on that this season and improve further as a player.”

The duo supplement a small core of squad players already recruited for next season froim last season’s Stenhousemuir squad and the handful of players entering the second year of two-year deals.

Muir in particular is a boost for the Ochilview club and has been tracked for more than a year and a half becoming the summer’s number one signing target.

Little came through the ranks at St Mirren before joining Greenock Morton for season 2011-12. He made his professional debut for the ‘Ton’ in August 2011 before moving into the junior ranks with Largs Thistle, then on to Hampden with Queen’s Park.

Little said: “I am delighted to have signed and can’t wait to get started. I am looking forward to working with Davie Irons and Goldie. I have joined a club looking to challenge to win the league next season and I will do my best to help us achieve that goal.”
