Writing in The Falkirk Herald this week, chairman Iain McMenemy said: “We have been patiently trying to work through cost savings. We need everyone at the club to pay their part. The club stands to lose tens of thousands of pounds, but we don’t want this to impact on jobs. If everyone is willing to shoulder a small share of the financial burden, then everyone will survive.

“This week we have asked the players if they would be prepared to offer a voluntary wage reduction, something affordable to them, even something small, and we hope that they too will offer to do something. We hope they agree that we’re all in this together.”

Since the coronavirus crisis began, the Warriors have been working throughout the club’s local community in Stenhousemuir, Kinnaird and Larbert helping vulnerable households and those needing additional assistance during the lockdown, and have also been driving cash to the club via a new share scheme, highlighted on their social media channels.

When the league ceased the Warriors were eighth in the fourth tier – 12 points clear of bottom side Brechin, and 12 points off the promotion play-off places.
