And with the picture clear and crisp, the performance matched and the view looks bright for the Warriors based on this game - albeit it’s early in the preparations for both sides.

The result of a joint approach between the club and Albion Rovers with Coatbridge fan Mark Millar of the superhero comic and Netflix fame, the camera staff were the real heroes on saturday fulfilling the football fix for thousands of fans of both clubs who tuned in. A few from the visiting side broke the rules and watched over a wall and displayed their club colours, but the view for those watching at home was of a high standard.

The visitors gave former Stenhousemuir loanee Kevin O’Hara a start alongside Dom Thomas in attack, leaving former Falkirk striker Declan McManus on the bench with another ex-Bairn Paul Watson.

That meant a start for 31-time Scotland cap Steven Whittaker in Stevie Crawford’s ranks facing up against Davie Irons’ team which included trialist goalkeeper Callum Erskine between the sticks, but the other end of the pitch saw the early action as Erskine’s opposite number Cammy Gill sent Thomas Muir tumbling in the box after saving a strike from David Hopkirk, and gave Greig Spence the chance to send Stenhousemuir ahead.

The lead was levelled on the half-hour mark though as a tirlaist midfielder for the Pars hit the equaliser.

Dunfermline rang the changes at the interval but Stenhousemuir maintained a steady side for the second half and it reaped rewards in a second-half show to match, although Pars sub Paul Watson almost beat Erskine with a header.

The Warriors took a look at another three trialists, all outfield players, but it didn’t upset their rhythm or momentum and Botti Biabi and Mark McGuigan also made appearances off the bench to see skipper Andy Munro rattle the crossbar late on.

The Facebook streaming trial was a success and the test for the team was equally so as the preparations for the new season continue, on and off the pitch.
