Falkirk’s in-form players played well and their prime goalscorer returned to the scoresheet.

It’s still tight at the top of the Starshot rankings.

Falkirk’s in-form man put in an exhaustive performance. All it lacked was a goal, but Alston was everywhere which caused Morton’s pressing defence difficulty in quelling his threat.

** Paul Watson

The Bairns backline was under pressure at times and Watson was excellent. In and out the team this season, a consistent run of games seems to be benefitting the defender. Did well against a handy strikeforce of Denny Johnstone and Declan McManus alongside McCracken.

* John Baird

Simply for his goal alone. His tiger-ish endeavour to get on the end of Muirhead’s pass was rewarded with a goal and a return to the scoresheet after what is – for him this season – a lengthy absence. Martyn Waghorn, look out...
