Falkirk are heavy favourites with Scottish bookmaker McBookie who have them priced at 8/13 to leave Balmoor with the win while the hosts are 9/2 and the draw 14/5.

Falkirk to win and both teams to score is 3/1 and first goal scorer betting includes Aidan Keena at 4/1, Conor Sammon at 92 and Peterhead’s veteran hitman Derek Lyle at 8/1.

Elsewhere in League 1

Tonight’s other Ladbrokes League 1 fixtures are: Montrose v Cove Rangers, Airdrieonians v East Fife, Dumbarton v Partick Thistle and Forfar Athletic v Clyde.

Falkirk, Partick and Cove have already secured their spot in the top half of the table while Airdrie and East Fife, playing each other, both only need a draw to confirm their places. Montrose can still make it in to the top half at the expense of the Diamonds or the Fifers should they win at home to Cove and either of those two lose.

Falkirk could potentially win and still lose top spot tonight if Cove better their scoreline by two goals with the two sides only separated by a single goals difference at the top of the table. Meanwhile, a lapse for both could see Partick going in to the split as leaders with Ian McCall’s side just one point behind in third.

We’ll try our best to keep you update with the other scores in the league as they come in tonight.

We’re here at Balmoor Stadium and have team lines to bring you immediately.

Here is the Falkirk line-up for tonight’s match

Peterhead starting line-up

It LOOKS like we will have a traditional 4-4-2 for the Bairns tonight with a Scott Mercer coming in at right back and Euan Deveney at left back with Durnan and McLelland retained in central defence from last Saturday.

it’s Gomis and Alston in the centre of the park again with Morrions on the right and Fotheringham on the left.

Keena and Sammon up top together.

We’re underway

3mins: Gomis shoots over

First chance of the game falls to Mo Gomis who clears the crossbar with a half volley from 20 yards.

5mins: Chance for Peterhead

A let off for Falkirk really, the hosts get a ball in to the box and Hamish Ritchie is on the end of it but his first time effort goes over the bar when he really should have got it on target.

10mins: Determined run by Morrison but no one at the other end

Callumn Morrison with a lung bursting run down the right from his own half to get past Daniel Strachan and he whips a ball in but it eludes Aidan Keena in the middle and Kai Fotheringham at the back post as neither can make a connection.

14mins: Selfish from Mercer

Scott Mercer makes a good run in to the box and has men in the middle awaiting the ball across but instead fires a shot in to the side netting.

Elsewhere in the league

It’s goalless everywhere else... EXCEPT AT LINKS PARK.

A Fraser Fyvie own goal as the Gable Endies 1-0 up on Cove Rangers after 16 minutes.
