He’ll take over duties from Tam Hunter for season 2020-21.

The devoted Mariners fan has already served time with the club – taking over the team for a day last year and leading the side to an emphatic 9-1 win over Craigroyston at Carmuirs Park.

Now, he has a permanent gig in Gordon Herd’s backroom team dealing with the squad’s kit, which will also bear the logo for Maggie’s Centre Forth Valley next term, in tribute to the support the centre has given to Shanks in his battle with cancer.
