Speaking to the Falkirk Herald Morrison, who has signed a one-year deal with the option of a second year should Falkirk gain promotion, said: “My aim is to hit the ground running, as soon as the season kicks off.

“My ambition is to get 10-12 goals and chip in with plenty of assists, I like to set personal targets and that’s mine for this season.

“I’ve been speaking to the gaffers for two or three weeks now and came down to see the facilities and was really impressed so it’s good to get the deal done.

“There’s not that much difference between the standard of facilities here and Hearts, I was shown the gym and was really impressed and by the three big stands as well.

“You see here and it’s a league 1 club but should definitely be in the Championship if not the Premiership, that’s where they belong and that’s the goal this season.

“I’m “Looking forward to working with Lee and David, the two have been brilliant trying to sort this deal and been good with me.

“It’s good to know on and off the pitch you have someone to speak to.”

Despite being just 21-years old Morrison already has a wealth of experience having played 30 times for Hearts and had multiple loan spells at Stirling Albion, Brechin City and East Fife.

“I went to Stirling when I was 16 for my first loan spell.

“I didn’t play much games, just off the bench, but went back the next season scored a few goals then went to Brechin.

“That was tough not winning a game but It was only a six month spell then when it was done I went back to Hearts and got my chance.

“The gaffer at the time Craig Levein was impressed and gave me my chance but unfortunately got injured.

“After Craig left Austin (MacPhee) came in then Daniel Stendel and when I sat down with him he agreed I should go out on loan and get fit.

“I went to East Fife and felt a bit off the pace but once I started getting fit again I was feeling great but Covid shut everything down.”

With plenty of new faces at the Falkirk Stadium, Morrison says he is looking forward to playing with good friend Aidan Keena who is has been close with on and off the pitch.

“Myself and Keena are close on and off the pitch, he will help me settle in.

“We played a lot of reserve games at Hearts together, he knows how I play and I know how he plays so that will be good for the two of us.

“Everyone is in the same boat, need to settle in and seeing new faces around helps everyone.”
