The Bairns are top of League 1 and have only lost one league match this season so the management team don’t feel the need to make wholesale changes or bring in many new faces.

Speaking ahead of this weekend’s Boxing Day fixture at home to Partick Thistle, McCracken said: "We've looked at the squad and we're happy with where it's at, we've got good numbers and good quality, there's a lot of players for a lot of positions.

"There's an intensity in training with everyone trying to get a place in the starting 11.

"I don't think it will be as it has in previous years where there's been five, six or seven boys coming in and numbers leaving.

"There will maybe be one or two changes but we've not identified anything specific yet."

Despite suffering their first defeat of the season against Aidrieonians last Sunday, McCracken says he and co-boss Lee Miller are delighted with how the first part of the season went after they won six, drew two and lost one.

They also went through those games with the joint best defensive record in League 1, level on six goals conceded alongside this Saturday’s opponents Partick, and the management team are delighted to see the hard work they are putting in to defensive work playing off.

"It's something we've gotten better at since pre-season.

"We've been working hard to get clean sheets not just as a back four or five but as a team.

"The boys have been doing well and need to continue that because it's where our base comes from.

"We know that if we don't concede a goal then nine times out of ten we will win a game because we create opportunities.

"It would have been great to have the fans in, Boxing Day is always a big one where families get together and go to the games but unfortunately that won't be the case but I'm pretty sure plenty will be watching at home and it's up to us to get the result."
