Local sides learn Scottish Cup preliminary round opponents

Local sides East Stirlingshire, Bo’ness United, Camelon and Dunipace have all learned their opponents as they enter in the Second Preliminary Round with matches being played on the weekend of Saturday, December 12.

For The Shire, who have made a great start to their Lowland League campaign this season, they will welcome Highland League side Inverurie Loco Works to the Falkirk Stadium.

The Highland League season will not get underway till later this month meaning Derek Ure’s side should enter the match the sharper of the two sides but will still no doubt be in for a trick afternoon against the team who won 19 of their 28 league matches last season.

Bo’ness United, who have also enjoyed an excellent start in their maiden Lowland League season, have been drawn away to East of Scotland First Division Conference A side Coldstream.

Dunipace face a difficult task as they are at home to Lowland League side Berwick Rangers.

Camelon will also face a side from the Highland League as they travel to Banff to take on Deveronvale.
