The Falkirk midfielder had his leg snapped in a last-minute challenge with Morton midfielder Joe McKee on Saturday.

He now faces three months in plaster and a further three months in rehabilitation before considering a return to football.

The Bairns boss told The Falkirk Herald: “Conor is a dedicated young man and he’ll get back, but he’ll need to be patient.

“There are other aspects of his physique he can work on. I’m sure Norwich will build him up fiurther and being at a big club like that he’ll have the best of equipment to get fit again.

I spoke to Alex Neil immediately after the game and both he and Frankie McAvoy have spoken to him.

“He recognises it’s football. It could happen at Norwich, at under-20s, at training. All we want is to help Conor and his family any way we can.

“If he wants to do upper body work here we’ll lift him and lay him

“The surgeon was so pleased with his work. It’s a clean break.”

The Bairns boss has looked at the loan amrket given an increasing injury list but hasn’t seen anyone who he’d consider adding to his squad, yet.

He added: “We’ve had Will’s hand, Peter Grant’s knee and now Conor’s leg. These things come in threes, so hopefully that’s them over with.”
