Hipp hopes you won't stop!

Another season, another song? Myles Hippolyte wouldn't mind if that's the case.

It would be music to his ears!

The flamboyant Falkirk forward has become a terrace hit twice over since moving to the Bairns 18 months ago with two of his finest moments in the navy blue heralded in supporters chants.

First, his introduction as a second half substitute which changed the league match with Rangers from a below-par first half into a 3-2 victory was built around The Four Seasons’ ‘December 1963 (Oh What a Night)’ track from the 70s.

Then, his syllables scanned perfectly to be chanted along to the more current trumpet riff in This Girl by Kungs vs Cookin’ On Three Burners.

“I’ve got two good songs actually haven’t I, I’m quite happy with them both.

“The first is obviously from when I first moved here and played against Rangers and that was great to hear the fans singing it.

“The second one is one that really gets stuck in your head.

“Literally my whole family sing it too. Whenever it comes on and they hear it they copy the fans and sing my name to it too!

“It’s a decent song to be fair – I might have to have it on repeat from now on!”

However good the Navy Blue backing is, he’s intent on having them cheering his name, rather than singing the blues this term. Never mind a platinum disc, it’s silverware all the way for the Bairns and more importantly, a return to the top flight that the club is aiming for this season.

That would really give the fans something to sing about, and Myles hopes to repay their backing on the terraces, on the pitch.

He’d happily pitch in with some goals too – and will muscle in up front if he can.

“I like to play up top, but I have been played out wide since coming here. I’ll play anywhere the manager wants me to, to help the team.

“I’m here for when the gaffer needs me and hopefully hat-tricks like the one against Forfar can help my case.”

Wherever he’s pitched in by Peter Houston though, it’s obviously caught the eye and earned him two tunes – not a back catalogue every player can boast. And that’s not lost on the winger.

“The fans are fanatstic, since I moved to Falkirk from Livingston the fans have been brilliant, they’re the best fans I’ve been around for a while. I love the support I get from them and that the team gets from them and I really respect them fully.

“To have the crowd cheering your name and backing the team like they do, it’s fantastic and hopefully we can have that all the way through.”
