The Bairns went in to the match after a midweek win over Clyde in the Betfred Cup and now have their first home league game in over seven months at home to Forfar Athletic on Saturday.

Francis, signed this summer, came in to the starting XI after an injury to Aidan Keena in the win over Clyde and got his first goal for the club to open the scoring.

Speaking after the match striker said: “I'm happy to get off the mark and hopefully now I can keep scoring and keep doing the same thing.

"It was a great day all round and we’re happy to get the three points and hopefully, we can just keep going and this is just the first win of many.

"I was confident coming into it, considering the win on Tuesday.

"It was scrappy at times but we just knew if we kept doing the right thing, the outcome would go our way.
