PJ Morrison hobbled off last weekend against Airdrie and he will miss out on the matchday squad while he is assessed.

Centre-half Brad McKay also came off in the 4-0 defeat on a stretcher and he is expected to be out for the foreseeable future.

Sean Mackie is expected to fill in as the left-sided centre back, with Leon McCann coming into the side.

"Injury-wise we are still in bother,” the boss said ahead of the visit of the Blue Toon.

“PJ Morrison is out and of course Brad McKay is out too, along with some other ones who were already not making it.

“We are in the process of bringing in a goalkeeper on loan.

“With Brad missing out, we will need to shuffle the pack a little.”

Last time out, the Bairns were well-beaten by Airdrie in what was a calamitous second-half display – injuries or no injuries.

Even before going down to ten men, the away side were toothless in front of goal and for once looked shaky at the back.

McGlynn added: “We looked over the game on Monday, and went through everything we wanted to go over, but after that we parked it.

“Going over the negatives after that point is just a wasteful exercise. You don’t want that feeling building up.

“We want to bounce back and put on a positive performance.

“Our pressing wasn’t where we want it to be, so that is one key area we have focused on this week.

“What we need to do is create better chances and actually take them.

“If we could score first that would help, we saw that for Airdrie at the weekend.

“It helped them and pushed us back.”

Peterhead grabbed their first point of the season in Hamilton against Clyde last weekend.

They have had a horror start to the season with manager Jim McInally struggling to recruit players.

However, McGlynn believes it will be a tough match despite the Blue Toon’s summer departures.

“Every summer is difficult for Jim,” he said.

“He has lost key players in most windows, but more so this time around with Simon Ferry and Scott Brown leaving.

“Simon did a great job in the middle as a coach on the pitch which is a big benefit to a squad.

“It takes them time to get going, but when they do they are a very good side.

“They got a lift last weekend against Clyde getting a draw after being two goals.

“We have to be super focused and we will treat them with maximum respect.

"They still have talented players.”
